The Country Park is a centre for holidays and a venue for day or residential meetings and courses. Facilities include bed and breakfast accommodation self-catering guest rooms, caravan and camping accomodation, guest lounge, large dining room, training room etc. The Joys of Life Country Park is a popular, a pleasantly secluded, centre for holidays, B & B, family gatherings, reunions and courses. This stunning holiday and meetings centre combines formal gardens with natural woodland paths and a small lake. The indoor accomodation and the nearby small secluded caravan park have all been totally refurbished over the last 5 years. All bedrooms are now ensuite and there is a range of accommodation styles to choose from, ranging from family rooms to twin or single-occupancy, and independently rated from 3-star to 5-stars by the North Wales Tourist Board.
This Country Park is located in the famous Snowdonia National Park area of North Wales and has magnificent scenery (mountain views) all around. The "Joys of Life" is in the Ogwen Valley, close to Bethesda, 15 minutes drive from Bangor and at the wooded foot of the Nant Ffancon pass.
There is a 5" gauge garden railway on the property, which is in the process of being restored.
There is also a newly refurbished self-catering cottage with wheelchair access suitable for either an able-bodied family or 1-2 mobility-impaired residents plus their carer(s).
The main house has lovely views and is most comfortably appointed. It nestles amongst old farm buildings with cottage gardens, meadowlands and woods. Additional new en suite bedrooms, family rooms and self-catering facilities have been added in adjacent fully renovated old farm buildings recently.
The ten acres of grounds have delighted visitors over many years. A nature trail walk and bird-watching hide surround the lake which has resident waterfowl. The surrounding woodland abounds with birdlife and wild creatures. The Park is an absolute haven for nature lovers, photographers or those who just enjoy a quiet holiday.
The Joys of Life is centrally situated in N. Wales - ideal for anyone touring Snowdonia, the North Wales coast or the island of Anglesey.
Historic castles, gardens, hill walks, mountains and beaches plus many other major tourist attractions are within easy reach.
