Arrival - By car (Area Maps)

From a minor cross road junction on the A5 on the Southern outskirts of Bethesda, travel West onto the B4409. In ¾ mile, pass through red gates set back from the road on your right and follow the drive to the main house at the very far end.

Arrival - By local bus (number 7)

Arrival - By train

There is a station at Bangor on the main London to Holyhead line 10 Km away.

Parking

There is ample parking space in an area of tarmac to the left of the drive, within a few yards of the entrance gates, lit at night by PIR.

Access to the 10 acres of park grounds

Most parts can be reached on level tracks and grass paths but there are 2 low steps in one of the gardens. The woodland walk, with bird-hide involves rough paths and stairs and requires care and suitable footwear.

Access for Hafan Self-catering Accommodation

There is a drop-off point at the bottom of a 1:12 wheel-chair ramp leading onto the patio and level ground floor of the cottage with a flight of 3 steps with handrail as an alternative.

Within the accommodation: The main entry leads directly into the lounge and from there it is a level surface to the kitchen/diner and thence into the master bedroom - all on the ground floor. The master bedroom has an en-suite wet room, with heightened toilet and grab rails. All electrical switches are at a suitable level to access from a wheel chair and all the doors are wide enough for the same. A staircase in the lounge leads to a first floor gallery and a twin bedroom with en-suite toilet and shower.

All areas are well-lit, with good colour contrast.

Cordless-kettles and remote-control TVs are available.

Necessary Assistance dogs are welcome.

Staff assistance is available when required.

Access to Bryn Llys Self-catering Accommodation

Parking: There is a vehicle drop-off point at the bottom of a ramp leading onto the level ground floor of the complex. There is ample parking space a hundred yards away, lit at night by PIR.
Entry to the accommodation: From the top of the ramp, a slate-faced walkway runs on the level to all the bedrooms and the main door into the complex - entering the dining room.
Within the accommodation: The floor is level in the dining room and an adjacent toilet and utility room. Access to the kitchen is by two low steps from the dining room. All doors are wide enough to take wheel-chairs. The lounge and games room/small lecture room are on the first floor and can be accessed only by a wide flight of stairs.

Cordless-kettles and remote-control TVs are available.

All areas are well-lit, with good colour contrast.

Staff assistance is available when required.

Access for Bed & Breakfast Accommodation

We are happy to discuss individual requirements.BR> There is ample parking space on the same level in the grounds, with drop-off at the doors. These areas are lit at night by PIR.
Entry to the accommodation: There is a slight ramp to the door into the conservatory/guest sitting room and then one low step to the remainder of the accommodation in the main house.
Within the accommodation: All bedrooms are on the ground floor with access to the toilets and dining areas being on the one level, with no steps. Alternative accommodation can sometimes be arranged in an adjacent cottage configured throughout on the one level for wheelchair use.
